Reverse Auction

“Total control of your best & final offer”

The In-tend Organiser manages the tendering process by giving buyers the flexibility to build a series of ‘Stages’ that mirror the tendering procedure. The reverse e-Auction stage will allow a selected number of providers who have been shortlisted to actively bid for the contract online.

With full control over the bidding ranges and what type of auction event you can run, the In-tend e-Auction module will give the buyer total control of the best & final offer.

• Ability to run Award Criteria based auctions - lowest bid not always rank 1
• Ability to Auction multiple items with individual prices
• Define the bidding range with ability to set the maximum and minimum bid adjustments
• Full control over how or if suppliers see who they are bidding against
• Auction Summary page giving real time bidding information

• Bid history with times
• Line graph showing all bids
• Line graph showing winning bidder
• Graphs show current contract value, visually displaying savings that are being made

Supplier Features and Benefits

• Suppliers use the In-tend web site - familiar functionality and easy to use
• Email prompt for when the event starts with hyper link on home page to auction screen
• Suppliers provided with a history log of all bids with printable hard copy receipt
• Bid requirement to reach Rank 1 shown to suppliers
• Guidance notes to support the bid process with help desk support if needed

The In-tend e-Auction module can deliver savings in process time and costs associated with the Best and Final Offer. In a study for the NePP (National e-Procurement Project) the findings by Deloitte MCS Ltd indicated that great savings can be achieved through an auction event.
